Dr.Pablo Pereda – To-De Karate The hand of the infinite

Dr. R.F. Pereda, a lieutenant in the Spanish cavalry, recompiled a large portion of Master Matsu Higa’s teachings in Okinawan To-De, the difficult and cryptic “Art of the Empty Hand,” in 1860. The document was found and subsequently developed by his great-grandchild, Karate Master and doctor Dr. Pablo Pereda, who took over 20 years to complete the project.

We shall learn the form and Bunkai of “Ekenkyo Daruma,” an ancient Chuan Fa with the earliest movements brought to China by Bodhidharma, consisting of a therapeutic half and another section marked by crane, panther, and dragon movements. Following that, the four portions of the “Bai He Zhan Chi” form (The White Crane Extends its Wings), the iconic Moon Kata, and the double Kama Kata and Bunkai are demonstrated. A remarkable anthropological treasure and a must-have for any student of knowledge.
