Edgar Sulite – Lameco Eskrima – Lameco At The Vortex
Eskrima footage at its finest. Guro Punong Edgar G.Sulite passed away in 1997.
Lameco’s System
Edgar developed the Lameco System of Eskrima in 1981.
Lameco is made up of three words that have been put together.
Largo = Longme = Medio (Middle)co = Short (close)
All of the ranges you’ll encounter in combat.
Lameco typically employs the following weapons: Double and single Stick, Double and single Dagger, Stick and Dagger, Sword, Staff, Handkerchief, and Empty Hands.
Lameco Eskrima is a combination of five main and six smaller Eskrima styles.
Edgar devised training drills known as Labon Laro (Play Fighting).
Labon Laro was created to get the practitioner as near to real battle as possible without causing harm. It was also designed to force you to perform an uncountable number of repetitions in a short amount of time.
“Repetition is the key to success,” according to the belief.
Edgar was continually seeking for novel training strategies to help Lameco progress.
He created hand and forearm training armor to allow practitioners to practice more realistically.
The system’s fundamentals are covered in this video.
