VOLUMES TEN AND ELEVEN TAI CHI CHUAN CHEN – (Parts 1 & 2) FIRST FORM OF CHEN TAI CHI CHUAN (PART 1) This movie concentrates on the Chen style, China’s traditional tai chi chuan method.
Master George Xu of Shanghai demonstrates the original version of the Chen style.
The course is structured into four sections:
1) the complete form (14 minutes), 2) fundamental training exercises, and 3) the first two portions of the form three times with narration.
At the conclusion of each segment, the individual section is repeated with the movement names, and 4) the complete form is repeated (all four sections).
FIRST FORM OF CHEN TAI CHI CHUAN (PART 2)
Form teaching is continued in Part 2.
The second half of the first set is the focus of the form taught in this book (Sections Three and Four).

This tape corresponds to Volume Ten of the Chen Tai Chi Chuan series (Part 1) APPLICATIONS OF CHEN TAI CHI CHUAN (PART 5) Master George Xu of Shanghai continues to apply the second half (parts three and four) of this system’s initial solo form.
Volume Eleven, “Chen Tai Chi Chuan (Part 2)” matches to this cassette.
VOLUME ELEVEN TAI CHI CHUAN CHEN – (Part 6) CHIN NA – TAI CHI CHUAN CHEN (Part 6) CHIN NA – TECHNIQUES OF JOINT LOCKING AND GRABBING Chen taijiquan styles are particularly well-known for their “chin na” (grabbing and joint locking).
Master George Xu of Shanghai teaches these methods from the Chen style tai chi system’s first solo form, which is contained in Volumes 10 and 11.
