The style taught to the Red Chinese Army is Six Harmony Ten Animal Hsing-I Chuan (or Honan Xin-Yi Chuan).
It is renowned as the cruelest kungfu.
And, strangely, it is the ideal Chinese kungfu style for Westerners to master since it fits so well with our cultural traditions of hand-to-hand combat.
It emphasizes a calm power that avoids the opponent’s strengths while attacking his weaknesses.
Joint locks, angled assaults, and throws are mixed with slamming blows and crushing kicks.
All the while, your musculature remains relaxed, allowing the flow of qi to generate the whip-like, snapping strength of kungfu known as jing.
As with other internal kungfu techniques, people who practice it achieve excellent health and heightened mental and spiritual awareness.
