Kurt Angle (born December 9, 1968) is a professional wrestler, amateur wrestler, and actor from the United States.
He is presently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
He is also remembered for his career with the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E) and for being the only Olympic gold medalist in professional wrestling history.
Angle competed in amateur wrestling in high school and college.
He was a two-time National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I champion during his tenure at Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
He went on to win a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1995 World Wrestling Championships after graduation.
Angle went on to win a gold medal in heavyweight freestyle wrestling in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
Kurt Angle is also one of just four persons in amateur wrestling history to have completed the Junior Nationals, NCAAs, World Championships, and Olympics.
