Lamar Davis – Original Jeet Kune Do – Mook Jong Training Vol.16
Mook Jong Training, Volume 16
The mook jong (wooden man dummy) is a valuable piece of training equipment for Jeet Kune Do practitioners. This one-of-a-kind training tool is from the Wing Chun Gung Fu method. Wing Chun has a mook jong form that they practice. Jeet Kune Do practitioners like to train on the mook jong freestyle, with no defined method or pattern. All you have to do is utilize your imagination and be creative. The dummy’s upper arms depict high-line attacks or blocks from an opponent. Low-line blows or blocks are represented by the lower arm. Bridging, also known as sliding leverage striking, on the mook jong toughens your wrists and forearms in preparation for strong impact with an opponent’s arms. You can bridge to either the inner or outside of your upper arms. These drills/applications alone make the mook jong an extremely valuable piece of equipment to acquire!

JEET KUNE DO COMPLETE ORIGINAL
This instructional video series on Bruce Lee’s Original Jeet Kune Do took a long time to develop. My objective was to provide the most detailed and comprehensive handbook to training in Bruce Lee’s fighting tactics ever published. This twenty-volume series is the outcome. It was initially shot on VHS, but was subsequently transferred to DVD after VHS became obsolete. The subject exhibited and taught in these films, on the other hand, will never be out of date. All three of Bruce Lee’s major schools in the United States are represented by the curriculum taught and displayed in these films (Seattle, Oakland and L.A. Chinatown). It is by far the most comprehensive exposition of this subject, and it will most likely remain such for the rest of time! It reflects my life’s labor in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do, and it will endure for all time as my legacy of preserving Bruce Lee’s original teaching, training, and fighting skills. I hope you find this information useful (and entertaining), and that you may learn anything from it that will help you or a loved one save their lives one day! If that occurs, it has accomplished its role! – Lamar M. Davis II, Sifu
