Larry Hartsell -Infighting Workshops

Larry Hartsell began his martial arts training with Ed Parker in Kenpo karate in 1961.
Parker awarded him a black belt, and he later got a black belt in judo.
He began studying with Bruce Lee in 1967.
He served in the army as a military police officer, including combat duty in Vietnam.
After returning from the war, he resumed his training at Bruce Lee’s school, where he was mentored by both Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto, his senior instructor.
Private sessions at Bruce Lee’s Bel Air residence were part of his training.
For the following 35 years, Hartsell trained with Dan Inosanto.
Hartsell’s method study resulted in modifications and innovations to the grappling that is now the foundation of the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Grappling system.
He has a criminology degree and years of law enforcement experience.
This, along with his celebrity, has made him in high demand as a professional bodyguard for celebrities (including Mr. T), as well as a trainer for the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
Through numerous institutions, organizations, and law enforcement training programs, Hartsell taught self-defense and fighting courses to Navy Seals and police personnel.
He has co-authored or approved many books on Jeet Kune Do and has issued seven grappling and combative arts videotapes.
Hartsell’s books, videotapes, and grappling skills have earned him a spot in the “Who’s Who in Martial Arts” and cover photos for multiple feature articles in Inside Kung Fu, Black Belt Magazine, Martial Arts Training, Inside Karate, Australian Fighting Arts, and others.
For little boxers like myself, my 5 cents in fighting is stone corner (1m 70 sm).
When battling a larger opponent, I frequently employ infighting.
It’s a shame that infighting is now so uncommon.
