Randall Brown- American Indian Conditioning and Fighting Skills
Randall Brown- Native American Conditioning and Fighting Techniques Copy for marketing: Quote: The American Indian was the most feared… revered… and hyper-skilled combatant that ever walked the world. In fact, even the most inexperienced Comanche warrior could take out an entire regiment of “civilized” warriors on his alone. Part of it was due to the warrior’s mastery of the terrain and nature – he could run 20 miles without tiring and hide for weeks without being discovered. You’ll learn three different (and very simple) movements for snapping an attacker’s neck… The most lethal punch ever thrown by a man against another man — a maneuver capable of stopping a heart… How to “tear down” an opponent twice your size and weight in record time… How to get out of having your hands tied… Reverse a knife-to-the-throat scenario (very nasty and bloody)… How to crush his spine and pulverize his guts… plus a dozen other simple moves that will stun and incapacitate ANY sized assailant. There are many DVDs of Asian and Western Martial Arts, but not many of American Indians and their aggressive traditions. This DVD collection focuses mostly on weapon styles. It features solid hand-to-hand combat with crucial hits, but the emphasis is on fundamental weapons (ax, dagger, spear, and club) and their usage in warfare. The design is rough and hefty. Power strikes, fundamental wresting, and joint breakage are combined with eye gouges and stomps. There are relatively few kicks, and the majority of it is aimed on fighting with or killing a fallen enemy with a knife or a club. The conditioning DVD is fantastic. It’s only a few minutes long, but techniques like Tomahawk push ups and sprinting with water in your mouth are a fun addition to any exercise. Bodywork lunges’ leg work is also useful. It is worthwhile to view for historical background. It’s basically a street on the High Plains of America’s Past! The DVD is well-presented, and the information is worth seeing even if just once. Will this improve your fighting abilities? IDK… It’s a weapon-based game, and we don’t go about with axes in our belts anymore. In the Unarmed Combat sections, there are still some great examples of NHB back breakers, neck cranks, eye gouges/hammer fist blows, and so on. Not mind-blowing, but typical of an Indian style of combat that is rarely discussed in current Martial Arts circles. If you wish, you may all download it right now. Enjoy!
