Sor.Katika Gym, Volume 6 People in Thailand are aware that the Isan Thailand region produces a large number of Muay Thai fighters.
The Sor.Katika Gym is a well-known gym in the area.
One thing is that Sor.Katika Gym is not advertised at all.
Period.
They are strictly oral and very serious.
If a boxer behaves inappropriately during training, such as being rude or drinking (because they mostly sleep and live there), they will be ejected.
This camp is well-known in the surrounding area and in Chaingmai.
This gym is not interested in training foreigners.
They don’t make money by training foreigners; they train fighters who are well-known.
Ajarn Vinit Tanjud, the main owner, is well-known for his experience teaching/training young Thais all over the country in Muay Thai and other sports.
Kru Phanupong Tanjud and his brother Kru Bunyeim Doungrat are the other trainers at this gym.
This gym takes its training very seriously.
The boxers who train here have made their names.
Most have had provincial to national level success, as well as participation in the Youth Games, Sea Games, and World Championships.
It was actually quite difficult for our crew to convince the trainers to let us film their training because they were reluctant to reveal their secrets.
But they eventually agreed, and our crew had the unique opportunity to film two days of training at this facility.
Unfortunately, the videographer had a camera mishap and the tape was damaged! Knowing we wouldn’t be able to film again, we worked on the tape and salvaged some of the damaged footage.
The original audio and part of the video were lost (a real bummer), but the recovered footage is still enjoyable and informative.
In fact, we decided to include this footage as a free bonus with this video collection because it is so rich in content and culture.
