Seal CQB-Close Quarter Battle

Close-quarters combat (CQC) or close-quarters battle (CQB) is a tactical situation in which many combatants engage in a physical struggle at close range using guns. [1] It can happen between military groups, police/corrections officers, and criminal elements, among other things. In warfare, it generally involves of troops or teams of varied sizes engaging the target or assaulting personnel with personal weapons at a distance of up to 100 meters (110 yards), ranging from close-quarter target negotiation with mainly automatic weapons to proximity hand-to-hand fighting. In a typical close combat scenario, the attackers attempt a quick, violent takeover of a vehicle or building controlled by the defenders, who typically do not have an easy way out. Close-quarters fighting necessitates a quick assault and accurate application of lethal force since attacking and defending forces, hostages/civilians, and friendly personnel can all be mixed. To reduce friendly losses and increase the possibility of operational success, the operators must be visible, have appropriate expertise with their weapons, and be able to make rapid choices.
