For several months, I received several requests to persuade Sifu Sergio Iadarola, the GM of the IWKA, to release a DVD including the 116 wooden dummy methods. The late GM Ip Man’s 116 wooden dummy methods were the latest iteration of the dummy form he taught during his lifetime. It contains the most sophisticated version of the dummy form developed by the late GM Ip man.

It’s also the form that features previously unknown kicking techniques like the cross stamping kick. Sifu Paul Hawkes (previously chief teacher for the EWTO Great Britain) and his pupil Dave Bright visited Sifu Sergio’s Asian IWKA headquarters in Shenzhen, China, in May 2010. It was then that I spotted an opportunity to persuade Sifu Sergio to publish more than 51 minutes of his wooden dummy teaching on DVD.

As a result, I am really delighted to be able to offer this treasure of information.
